RELX Group Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
RELX plc (pronounced "Rel-ex") is a British corporate group comprising companies that publish scientific, technical and medical material, and legal textbooks; provide decision-making tools; and organise exhibitions. It operates in 40 countries and serves customers in over 180 nations. A former employee warned, "Stay away from LexisNexis side in Ohio. Especially legal segment. It's being rebranded as RELX because reputation is ruined. Constant cuts until Dayton office is virtually nonexistent. Hiring and pay freezes. Claim no lay offs with COVID but they just wait til Q3 every year for another round of cuts. This company is moving to Raleigh and Manila, Dayton is dissolving."

Manager (Former Employee) says"At the end of the day, my experience was mostly positive. There was a near constant revolving door of new senior managers and directors - all of which were obviously well rehearsed at ladder climbing and none were hired inside the company. The C-Level team was near constant however and provided some stability to the vision, though one wonders how any vision could be executed with the plan changed with a near annual change in director level folks. The mid-level management and lower management team seemed to be able to get things done but there was a fair amount of squabbling and bureaucracy going on. The environment was very professional and we had very good access to tools to get the job done. If you knew how to work upper management, then you could be really effective as a manager but that typically involved long hours not only keep your team effective, but stay prepared and out in front of politics.Professional environment, state of the art tools, great access to resourcesGlass ceiling at mid-level management, demanding schedules, heavy office politics"
Consulting Contact Center Engineer (Current Employee) says"Had a flexible work from home policy. Good comradery between workers. Our team always helped each other when large issues would arise. Our team was very productive and accomplished our goals last year."
Vice President, IT Operations and Infrastructure (Former Employee) says"Local culture was very draining due to the focus of constant cost reduction and staff reductions. Senior management was not reliable and didn't have a good grasp of the talent levels available within the Dayton area."
Sr. Commercial Operations Manager (Current Employee) says"This is very fast pace organisation. I really enjoyed working on this environment as well. I have learned lot of new things and enjoyed my work here. I really like working for this company."
Account Manager (Current Employee) says"the work place was ok to work not very proffesional and work was boring at times. management were far from professional and very laxed. Too many managers when in most cases only one was needed."
Consulting Network Engineer (Current Employee) says"RELX Group is a mostly good company filled with wonderful and diverse people. In IT, they will squeeze absolutely as many hours out of you as you let them but at the same time they are very mindful and open for flexible working hours. The work-life balance is what you make it."
Sr. Background Specialist (Current Employee) says"I have learned a lot from working with RELX Group along with LexisNexis Risk Solutions. It is invaluable knowledge. This was an excellent place to obtain information and start a career"
Manager Account Support (Current Employee) says"The good thing working for Elsevier is that there is a good balance between the private work life and the professional life.,A very open management syle. ideas are always welcome and people are encouraged to speak freely.very good secondary conditionsvery hectic during the peak seasons"
